What Is Green and Orange Temptation Tea?

Green and Orange Temptation is a loose leaf tea blend made from green tea and dried orange peel. Green tea comes from the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis), which are heated soon after picking to stop oxidation. This keeps the leaves green and gives the tea its fresh, grassy and slightly vegetal character.

Dried orange peel adds a bright, zesty citrus aroma and a gentle natural sweetness that rounds out the green tea. Together they make a light, fragrant and refreshing cup that is easy to enjoy at any time of day.

The blend can be brewed hot or cold. As a hot tea it is smooth and aromatic, and as an iced tea it is crisp and thirst-quenching, especially with a slice of fresh orange and a sprig of mint.

As with all green teas, water temperature matters: water that is too hot can make green tea taste bitter, so let boiled water cool for a minute or two before pouring. A short steep of 2 to 3 minutes keeps the cup sweet and bright.

Our Green and Orange Temptation contains green tea and orange peel. It is sold by weight, from small packs to bulk.
