What Is Rose Buds Tea?
Rose buds tea is made from whole, unopened buds of the damask rose (Rosa damascena), the classic fragrant rose grown for rose oil and rose water. The buds are picked just before they open, when their fragrance is strongest, and dried whole.
Unlike our mix of buds and petals, this product contains whole buds, which are ideal for tea. Whole buds release their aroma slowly and evenly, give a clear, light pink cup and look beautiful in a glass teapot as they soften and open in the hot water.
Rose bud tea has a sweet, floral aroma and a delicate, slightly fruity taste. It is enjoyed on its own, sweetened with honey, or blended with green tea, black tea, white tea or hibiscus. In Middle Eastern and Central Asian homes, a few rose buds are often added to the teapot with black tea.
Whole rose buds also make lovely gifts and decorations: fill a glass jar, add them to a gift basket with tea and honey, or scatter them on cakes and desserts.
Our rose buds tea contains only whole dried damask rose buds with nothing added. It is sold by weight, from small packs to bulk.

- With black or green tea: Add 2 to 3 buds to your usual teapot for a floral note.
- Iced rose tea: Brew a double-strength tea, cool it and serve over ice with lemon.
- Gifts and decoration: Fill small jars, or use the buds on cakes and desserts.
